We set off early as I did not want to get held up in the traffic, stopping off at junction 18 on the M4 to pick up Pat, we arrived in London about 2 hours later and by more luck than anything found our Hotel, We dropped off our cases and set off to find the world famous "Ace Cafe" ,
It was only a couple of minutes walk away, and were not disappointed, what a fantastic place, I knew straight away we were in for a good night, we set up the gear and went off to get ready for the night. When we returned what a buzz the place was heaving with over 300 leather clad bikers and rockers.
KD opened the night and done us proud again with a great set that had everyone singing along, she really looked the part with her leather gear on. I was sat backstage on the stairs when the band were doing there intro number "Hit And Miss" and I could feel the goose bumps start to appear all over me, I was sure that Billy was with me tonight and wanted to put on a good show for him,
A young girl walked past me on the stairs and asked if I would dedicate a song to a friend of hers who was very ill, I said sure and asked her which one and she said "Maybe Tomorow"  Which took on a special meaning that night. The Band were just finishing their intro and my intro started, 20 seconds later I was standing in front of this huge crowd singing
I'd Never Find Another You
With most of them singing along with me word for word, ten songs and half an hour later I hid behind the stage curtain while the band played "Telstar"  I put on Vic England's leather jacket, that he had kindly lent me.
Back on stage for the second half, and a truly amazing experience followed.
I had arranged with Jenny to sing "That's Alright Mamma" and dedicate it to Billy's Mum Jean, Which I did gladly and then Jenny presented Jean with a bronze Bust of Billy. What followed next was the highlight of the evening,  Jean agreed to sing "In Thoughts Of You " with me, this was the proudest  moment of my life, I could not, and still cannot believe that I was on stage with Billy's mum, singing one of his greatest songs with her,
