Daniel had the idea to
have a 50's and 60's theme pub in his local town of
Billericay
He spent a lot of time and effort decorating
the walls with all kinds of memorabilia from that era.

He had created a Billy Fury Wall, an Elvis
Wall and a Beatles Wall, using sheet music and pictures, he also decorated the
walls with discs and pictures creating a unique setting.
We did not tell Daniel we were coming that
night as we wanted to surprise him, He has supported me in the past so it was
the least I could do.

I knew Tony Harte was doing his
Billy Fury tribute there that night, and thought there might be a chance to help
out.
We
picked up Pat and left for Billericay giving us plenty of time to get there, I
tried to work it out that we would arrive at the White Heart Inn at about 7.30
pm.

We had a really good trip and got there at
5.30pm
. So we gave Daniel the shock of his life when we burst into the pub, his
face was a picture.
The
pub looked great and I was sure it was going to be a fantastic night. They even
had an authentic 1960's pinball machine there that kept me occupied for about an
hour.
Tony arrived and we agreed to split the
evening between us, doing two half hour spots each with Daniel filling in with
his disco, this worked really well, by 9pm the pub was packed and rocking.
It was nice to meet lots of new people also
Marion, Peter, Tonka and her friends, Daniels Mum and Dad, Mike Ford, Babs, the
staff were also really nice, (sorry if I forgot anyone)
12 o'clock came round much
too soon and it was time to head off home.
We got back home at
5am, exhausted but feeling great.
Thanks
Daniel for a great night, and also for the plate it will take pride of place in
my music room.
